2022 MARTHA GRAHAM SCHOOL AWARD RECIPIENTS

Kate Reyes, Pearl Lang Award for Excellence in Performance

Kate received her BFA from Marymount Manhattan College after graduating from Fiorello H. LaGuardia HS. A former Teens@Graham dancer, Kate earned the Graham School’s Advanced Studies Certificate while dancing with Graham 2 and just celebrated her premiere performance with the Graham Company.

Rosetta Fair, Armgard von Bardeleben Award for Excellence in Graham Studies

Rosetta trained and performed with Joel Hall Dancers & Center and other Chicago groups including Duwane Pendarvis & Company, Tamboula Ethnic Dance Company, and Khalidah Kali’s North African Bellydance Experience. Rose is a Martha Graham Two-Year Certificate Program graduate and is currently enrolled in the Teacher Training Program.

Matilde Santos, Ooi Meland International Student Award

Matilde Santos trained in her native Portugal, studying ballet, modern and contemporary at Contemporary Dance Academy of Setúbal. She was a member of the Little Company before her study at the Graham School, completing the Two-Year Certificate program and continuing in the Teacher Training Program.
